Aaron Jermane Broughton was born on November 7, 1972, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Aaron entered rest by the Almighty God on September 6, 2024, at 7:11 p.m., at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa Florida.
Aaron was the youngest child of three boys to Father Alfred Broughton and his Mother the late Geraldine Woolfolk. Aaron graduated from Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Withlacoochee Technical College in Inverness, Florida completing certifications in Corrections and Law Enforcement.
The majority of Aaron’s career was being employed with the Citrus County Sheriff's Department from the age of 19 years old. He worked within many capacities within law enforcement. This includes Corrections, Communications, Judicial Deputy, Honor Guard, Special Details for both Citrus and Marion Counties with Letters of Honor for his work and success with Special Details work. One year, Aaron even won “Fastest Cop” in Florida Law Enforcement Track and Field Events.
On October 26, 2001, Aaron entered the Union of Marriage with his soulmate Julia Emanuel. To this wonderful and blessed union, The Lord blessed them with 4 beautiful children.
Aaron enjoyed health and fitness training, body building, football, track and field, basketball, participating in church and choir, listening to all types of music, and last but not least, singing.
Aaron is known for lighting up a room with his bright beautiful magnetic smile, and his loving and caring personality. Aaron enjoyed giving and lending a helping hand to anyone that he could assist. Aaron loved the Lord and lived his life being humble, dependable, and selfless, always thinking of others. He was the happiest when he was spending quality time with family and friends. Aaron was a very special person to everyone that he met, and he touched lives in his own special way.
Aaron leaves to cherish precious memories: Loving Wife, Julia (Jewell) Emanuel; Daughters, Shanise, Areaun, Jordyn, and Jiselle, Citrus Springs, Florida; Father, Alfred Jr. Broughton, (Cassandra), St. Petersburg, Florida; Two Brothers – Alfred Broughton III, Atlanta, Georgia; O.J Broughton, Crystal River, Florida; Father In Law, Maurice Emanuel, Homosassa, Florida; Mother In Law, Dianne Emanuel, Homosassa, Florida; Aunts – Barbara Goolsby, Inverness, Florida; Maxine Weaver, Crystal River, Florida; A Host of Loving Cousins, Nieces, and Sorrowing Friends. Special Friends in St. Petersburg, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, and Citrus County, Florida.
Flowers may be received on Friday September 20, from 9:30 am to 2pm at The J.T.Campbell Funeral Home and Cremation Services Macedonia Chapel.
