Andres
Roberto Martinez Plain passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Oakhill
Hospital after a long battle with heart disease. He was 78.
Andres
was born on November 19, 1944, in Isabela de Sagua, Cuba. He had recently moved
to Florida to join his four children. He comes from a family of fisherman and
grew up in a town that is surrounded by water helping his family in the fishing
business. Later in life he worked as a cook in Cuba for a company called
Geology up until his retirement.
He
is remembered by his enthusiastic personality and positive attitude towards
life. Andres was a hard-working person and always provided for his family. He
also loved to cook for everyone and never complained about anything, neither
would he get upset easily.
Andres
is survived by his four children, Deysi Martinez, Rodney Martinez, Tony Soto y
Arlhey Martinez; his wife Fredesvinda Rodriguez and eight of his siblings.
The
family has arranged for Andres’ body to be cremated, as it was his will that his
ashes be scattered at sea. Andres was a great human
being, a good husband, a good father and those who knew him will miss him
dearly.

Andres Roberto Martinez Plain falleció el viernes 16 de
diciembre de 2022 en Oakhill Hospital después de una larga batalla contra una
enfermedad cardíaca. Tenía 78 años.
Andrés nació el 19 de noviembre de 1944 en Isabela de
Sagua, Cuba. Recientemente se había mudado a Florida para reunirse con sus
cuatro hijos. Proviene de una familia de pescadores y creció en un pueblo que
está rodeado de agua ayudando a su familia en el negocio de la pesca. Más
adelante en la vida, trabajó como cocinero en Cuba para una empresa llamada
Geología hasta su jubilación.
Es recordado por su personalidad entusiasta y su actitud
positiva ante la vida. Andrés era una persona trabajadora y siempre proveyó
para su familia. También le encantaba cocinar para todos y nunca se quejaba de
nada, ni se enfadaba fácilmente. A Andrés le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos, Deysi
Martinez, Rodney Martinez, Tony Soto y Arlhey Martinez; su esposa Fredesvinda
Rodríguez y ocho de sus hermanos.
La familia ha hecho arreglos para que el cuerpo de Andrés
sea incinerado y sus cenizas sean esparcidas en el mar como si fuera su deseo
vivo. Andres fue un gran ser humano, buen esposo, buen padre y los que lo
conocieron lo van a extrañar infinitamente.
