Obituary
Millard Frederick Sanders was born on May 14, 1941, to Clifford and Evergreen Sanders in
Union Springs, AL. He grew up and attended the local public schools. Upon completion of
school, he began employment with the Davis Service Juice Plant. He was trusted as the
team leader for the packaging area. Millard also drove cement trucks for West Coast
Concrete. He worked for CSX Railroad for 17 years and retired after faithful service.
At an early age Millard accepted Christ and became a member of Mt. Canon Baptist
Church, Union Springs, AL. He later decided to move his membership to First Baptist
Church of Shady Rest, where he faithfully supported the church as Chairman of the
Deacon Board, Superintendent of Sunday School, The Senior Choir, and Treasurer of
Joseph Gary Shady Rest Gospel Singers. He was also a member of the Hernando County
Male Chorus and President of Choirs of Federation.
Millard met the bone of his bone and the flesh of his flesh when he married his high school
sweetheart Lois Gary Sanders. To this union five children were born.
