Mr. Kent Jerome Clark was born on December 24, 1957 in Neptune, New Jersey. Kent received his education and graduated from Citrus High School, Inverness, Florida in 1976. After graduating, Kent met his lovely wife of 33 years, Cynthia during an assignment in Alaska in 1985. They were married in 1988. Out of this union, a son was born, Keith Jordan Clark. Kent was a life-long resident of Citrus County and at an early age, joined St James African Methodist Episcopal Church. He served in the United States Army from 1979 until 1999. He retired from the Army after 20 years. He then furthered his career as a Youth Counselor at Eckerd Youth Center and then retired after 13 years. Kent was a God-fearing man. He loved and had such a compassionate heart for his family. Kent was very close and dear to his family. Caring and a big heart for giving, he loved sharing what the Lord blessed him with. Kent was a man of integrity and an easy going spirit. Kent felt that friendship was valuable and he genuinely loved people. He accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savor which made his life complete. Kent passed away on January 29, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alberta E Clark and Amos (Buddy) Floyd and two younger brothers: Sean Clark – 2007 and James Clark --- 2016. He leaves to cherish his passing: his wife Cynthia and one son, Keith Jordan Clark stationed in Fort Lewis Washington; Special Godson: Armasi Hopkins; Two Brothers: Oscar Hall (Rose) Leesburg, Fl; Darryl Clark, Austin, TX; Six Sisters,Terry Ann Nelson (Larry), Inverness, Fl; Shelia Tribble (Larry), Beverly Hills, Fl; Gwendolyn Clark, Inverness, Fl; Tammy McCauley (Dekovion), West Berlin, NJ; Cynthia Floyd, Cedar Park, TX; Shelia Green, Kyle TX; One Uncle: Willie Clark, Ocala, FL; Two Aunts: Shirley Ivey, Inverness, Fl; Daisy Ballard, Phoenix, AZ. He leaves a host of nephews and nieces and other family and friends

Public Viewing - will be held on Friday February 4, from 5pm to 7pm at the St James African Methodist Episcopal Church 204 north Apopka avenue Inverness Florida
Private Funeral- (Family and St James Church) Saturday February 5, 2:30 p.m.
Final Interment- Will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Monday February 7, at 10:30 a.m. 6502 SW 102nd avenue Bushnell Florida 33513
