It is with Heavy Hearts that we announce the passing of Linda D. Powell. Linda D Powell was born on June 23, 1957 to the late Andrew Grant and Betty Martin Grant. She was a 1975 graduate of Carol City High School, Miami, Florida.
She was an outgoing person that loved to meet people and was the center of any party. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking. Basically, she drew attention as being the life of the party. Never a dull moment being around her. She loved her nieces and nephews.
Linda was a person that took care of others. Such a warm, loving and caring nurse. She always looked for ways to give a helping hand and had compassion for her career in the medical field.
Her passing on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Leesburg Hospital in Leesburg Florida, is a deep and personal loss to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her Father Andrew Grant Sr her Mother Betty Grant and her brother, Artis Grant.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, David Reeses, Bushnell, Florida; two sisters, Barbara (Perry) Watkins-White, Lawrenceville, Georgia; Angelia Everett, Ft Myers, Florida; Brother, Andrew (Barbara) Grant, Jr., Mullins, South Carolina; Four Aunts, Rozetta Simmons, Bushnell, Florida; Naomi (James) Knight, Marion, South Carolina; Ann Martin, Miami, Florida; Trudy Walton, Marion, South Carolina; Four Uncles, Alphonso Martin, Charleston, South Carolina; Jerome (Mary) Walton, Miami, Florida; Clinton (Dianne) Walton, Miami, Florida; Tim Martin, Miami, Florida; One God Son, Tavaris Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Flowers May be received at The J.T.Campbell Funeral on Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Wake is scheduled from 5pm to 7pm on Friday July 2, 2021 at The St. James Baptist Church 421 Lincoln Street Bushnell Fl.
Funeral Cortege will form at The Family Home at 11:15 am.
Funeral Services Will be Held on Saturday July 3, 12 noon at The South Sumter Evergreen Cemetery 7052 State Road 471 Bushnell (North Beville Corner) 33513
