Louella Strother was born July 30, 1946 to the union of Mitchell Strother Sr. and Matilda Johnson Strother in Union Town Alabama. She was the eleventh child born to this union. Louella attended the local and public schools of Perry County District Schools. As a child, she attended Living Missionary Baptist Church with all of the family. In her early adult years, she relocated the family to Brooksville,
Florida where her younger children were born. After relocating to Brooksville, she served in the healthcare industry for many years. Her faith in God was increased as she attended The Holy Band Deliverance Temple under Elder Rosa Waddy, later moving her membership to Encouraging Words Ministries, under her nephew Elder Bill Pope.
Louella was preceded in death by: her parents, Mitchell and Matilda Strother; her 3 brothers, Jacob, James and Rosevelt Strother; 4 sisters, Elizabeth Williams, Lucille Strother, Rosa Lee Anderson and Mary Brown; 1 daughter, Willie Mae Strother.
She leaves to cherish her memories: 3 sons, Junior Mitchell Strother of Brooksville, FL; Rueben Taylor (Kristi) of Inkster, MI, Michael Taylor of Brooksville, FL; 1 daughter, Michelle Taylor; 2 sisters, Rebecca Pope and Mariah Frazier both of Brooksville, FL; 1 brother, Mitchell Strother Jr. of Tampa, FL; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
