Indaleccia “Alice” (Vargas) Serrano passed away peacefully at
home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Alice was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on June 23, 1929, to
parents Bernardo and Rosa (Deleon) Vargas. She married Francisco “Frank”
Serrano on June 12, 1949 and an active military life ensued. Alice was a housewife, dedicated to raising
her children Hilda, Frank, Linda and Eli “Michael.” As a military wife, Alice
moved often, creating lifelong friends along the way.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, husband
Francisco Serrano, daughter Hilda Serrano, grandson Francisco R. Serrano and
sister Quintina Vargas.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son Frank (Kim) Serrano,
Citrus Springs, daughter Linda (Bob) Klein, Orlando son Eli Serrano, Floral
City; brothers Michael Vargas, Felix (Amelia) Vargas, sisters Carmela Vargas,
Masia (Ralph) Aleman; grandchildren Melissa Jenkins, Francesca Serrano, Frank
Serrano II, Tanner Serrano; Great Grandchildren Jayda (Joel) Joa, Cruz Blanco,
Ezekiel Blanco; Nieces Rosita (James) Aviles, Verna Vargas, Marissa (Luis)
Almodovar, Iris (Eric) Ayala, Elsie (Freddie) Rodriguez; Great Nieces Aisha
(Luis) Matos, Aleishka (Victor) Zuluaga, Amarilys Ayala; Nephews Marquito
