Mary Lee Bateman was born on March 16,1950 in Macon, Georgia to Elnora Lee and Norman Bateman. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known as a loving and caring person and always wanted to feed everybody that came to her home. She was outgoing and always smiling and her favorite activity was to go fishing. She departed this life on December 7, 2023 and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She leaves behind her sons, Vincent Lee Ashley and Tommy James Jr. Her grandchildren, Eddie Cuevo, Vincent Lee Ashley Jr, Era Shawn Milfrise, Valencia Lee Ashley, Vince Santana Lee Ashley, and Venice Kayla Ashley. Her great-grandchildren, Mya Victoria, Mariah, Jose Noah, Easton Cuevo, Tominique James, Tamia James and ta'miaya James. She also leaves behind her sister Lorraine and joins her other siblings, Jimmy Lee, John Henry Lee and Eleanor Lee in heaven. She also leaves behind her daughter in laws Christine Ashley and Kathy Ashley along with her loving godchildren, Joseph, Contessa and Leslie Bryant, Thomas Demeritt ,Brooks Turner, and Adrian and Alexa Lindsley, She also leaves behind a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.
