His story will be told by many and His spirit will be remembered by all.
On Sunday, April 23, 2023. Maurice Tyrone Ruiz surrendered the call of our heavenly father and took his flight to join his loved ones in eternal rest and peace.
His story began on July 11, 1973 in Brooksville, Florida to Roberto Ortiz Ruiz and His devoted and Beloved Mother, the late Eleather Brooks Ruiz.
Whether called Tyrone or Ty, many affectionately knew him simply as "The Mayor."
He spent the majority of his life in Crystal River, FL where he attended the Citrus County School
System. In 1992, he received his diploma from Crystal River High, where he also received many awards and recognition for his dynamic skills on the football and baseball field. Following his education he was employed as a laborer at Metal Industries in addition to construction and landscaping crews throughout the county.
Tyrone not only was a loving son, father and brother but he was also adored by many close friends. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted father, Roberto Ruiz Sr. of Beverly Hills, FL. His children, Dadrian Ruiz (Reginald) of Dallas, TX. Christopher Young of Ft Lauderdale, FL. And His loving daughter, Tyrisha Ruiz of Crystal River FL. Brothers, Robert Lemon, Sr. (Pauline), David Lemon, Robert Ruiz Jr. (Cynthia) Armoni Ortiz Ruiz, Alonzo Ruiz, Artez Ruiz, Jeremy Ruiz and preceded in death Carl Bernard Lemon. Sisters, Renovia Atkins (Kasda, Sr.) Trinity Ruiz, Nina Simmons, Devona Ruiz, Brenda Tenner, (Harry) Georgia Ray. And a host of neices, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
Tyrone was known to greet you in laughter and leave you in love. To know him was to love him but those who really knew, knew that his devotion to his two grandchildren was his heart in human form. His legacy will continue to live on through his adoring grandson, Carter John Ruiz and granddaughter, Chanel Jaleena DeBose.
