Obituary
Monica Lorraine Walden-McLeod was born to Roberta Johnson-Walden. She was the 6th of seven children. She attended the local schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Hillsborough High School. She then entered the work force where she retired from Legends Hospitality after many years of service.
Monica had an astronomical spirit, she enjoyed life immensely. She loved her family and had a heart of gold. One of her favorite past times was cooking and feeding the whole neighborhood. She was a phenomenal mother to her children and an even better grandmother to her grandchildren whom she lived for.
She was preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Luvenia Johnson; her baby girl, Alicia Gardner; her godparents the help raise her, James and Bertha Ramsey; her oldest sister, Belinda Wilson; several aunts and uncles.
She leaves to cherish her memories: A devoted husband, Alvin McLeod; a loving mother, Roberta Johnson-Walden; her adorned children, Shaquila Walden, Paul Jones III, Porsha Jones; beloved grandchildren, A’Mariyah Sutton, Khalil Jones, Ava Gibson; 4 sisters, Carolyn Dyal-Redden (Ronnie), Sharon Dyal-Atherton (John), Rosalind (Vanessa) Walden, Sabrina Wilkerson; 1 brother, Irwin Walden (Tonya); Best friend and father of her two youngest children, Paul Jones II; a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews as well as family and friends. Monica was loved by all and will be truly missed.
Flowers may be received at The J T Campbell Funeral Home from 9am to 2pm on Friday September 12, 2025, or Saturday morning from 9am to service time at The Exciting Faith Alive C.O.G.I.C Church.
Family shall form the Funeral Cortege at The Family home 1017 Davis Drive Tampa FL 33619 at 10:15 am.
