A Time to be Born

Alberta was born May 09, 1939 in Hernando, Florida to Blanche Jenkins Wright and Elester Wright, Sr.  Alberta was reared in Hernando by Felix and Bessie White from nine months old.  She was preceded in death by husband Walter Lee Couch, Sr., her grandmother Rachel Wright, father Elester Wright, Sr., brother Elester Wright, Jr., granddaughter Mary Leggett, Great-grandson Ashtyn Leggett, brothers Willie Wright, JD Wright, George Wright, Sisters Margie Rivera, and Otha Lee Wright Bowens.

A Time to Learn

Alberta received her education from Citrus County school district, culminating at Booker T. Washington High School in Inverness, Florida.

A Time to Work

Alberta began working as a housekeeper at Citrus Memorial hospital.  The majority of her work career was spent in the seafood and restaurant industry.  She was also a private chef at Espedeco in Inverness, Florida.  Alberta excelled as a chef and is well-known for several dishes.

A Time to Serve

Mother Alberta was a faithful member at Hernando Church of the Living God.  She worked diligently to support her church and her pastor.

A Time to Love

Alberta was United in marriage in January of 1965 to Walter Lee Couch, Jr.  Alberta leaves to cherish her memory her mother Ophelia Wright, four daughters; Rachel Neshel Leggett, Carlette Barfield (Patrick), Sheri Wright, and Lonnie Couch, four sons; Ronald Derrick Wright, Gregric Wright (Tammy), Walter Couch, Jr., and Jermaine White, sisters Joanne Wright-Malone, Betty Sykes (Garfield), Teresa Wright, Shirley Wright, brothers Michael Wright (Carrie), Paul Wright, Juan Wright (Kia), grandchildren; Rodney Vickers (Joy), Angela Leggett, Martha Leggett, Crystal Leggett, Ryan Couch, Shelia’ Wright, Gregory Wright Smith, Montana Southall, Jacob Southall, Malachi Wright, Noah Wright; a host of great-grandchildren; special cousin Lucile Smith; God-children Lucile Farrington (Isaiah), Martha Ward, Dauntevian Williams; life-long friends Shirley Townsend and Mattie Key Mobley; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Flowers- May be received on Friday October 7, 2022 at the Funeral home from 9am to 3pm.

Visitation / Wake - Friday October 7, 2022, 5pm to 7pm at Hernando Church of The Living God 3441 E Oleander Lane, Hernando Florida 34442

Funeral Cortege- The Funeral Cortege will form at The Family Home in Hernando Fl,  Saturday October 8, 2022 at 12 Noon

Celebration of Life - Saturday October 8, 2022, at 1pm Citadel of Life Cathedral 225 North Seminole Avenue Inverness Fl 34450
