Pamela Loris Nottingham, was born August 18,1936 in Trinidad, West Indies. She was 89 years old and the eldest daughter of Clifford and Culie Nottingham. She is survived by four younger siblings Valerie, Kelly, Kerland, and Kydd who reside in Trinidad; her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of Sharon and Nicole; mother-in-law of Lloyd and Leonard; grandmother of Wade, Joel, Victoria, Alabaster, and Maryah and great grandmother “Gigi” to Brian and Isaiah; aunt of Maria, Lucia, Wendy, Quieta, Chris, Deserie, Jill, Karen, Anton, Kelsha, Keith, Alicia, Deidre, Lee-Ann, Orlando, Zachary, Tenniel, Emmanuel, Malachi, Elijah, Calwin, Carlon, and Collette
Pamela lived her passion for over forty-years as a Registered Nurse. She pursued her nursing career at the age of twenty-three at San Fernando General Hospital. She eventually earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and was part of the trailblazing team in the late 1950’s early 1960’s when the Nursing profession was formerly recognized in Trinidad. Pamela expanded her skill set and ventured to the United States. She worked in various nursing specialties in Piscataway, N.J.; Brooklyn, N.Y.; Manhattan, N.Y., and Bronx, N.Y.
Upon retirement, Pamela transitioned to a new helping profession to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, non-relatives, and various communities in need of care, compassion, and support. Her former residences included Brooklyn, N.Y., Bronx, N.Y., Felton, PA., Citrus Springs, FL. Her final resting place was Ocala, FL.
Flowers cards and Condolences may be received on Thursday January 22, at the Funeral home from 11am to 3pm
Visitation on Friday Jan 23, at the Ind House Of God from 3pm to 4pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 4pm.
