Theresa Scriven: A Life of Love, Laughter, and Service
We gather with heavy hearts to celebrate the life of our beloved Theresa Scriven, who was born on July 16, 1932 and departed this earth on January 14, 2025. As the 14th child of the late Mamie Roach Delaine and the late Steven Delaine. Theresa grew up in a household brimming with love and adventure. Her childhood was a tapestry of laughter, mischief, and unconditional love, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Theresa’s life was a testament to service and generosity. She embraced every opportunity to help others, whether it was for monetary gain or simply from the goodness of her heart. Her selflessness and dedication to those around her were truly inspiring.
Though she is no longer with us, Theresa’s spirit will forever live on in the cherished memories and love we share. She was proceeded in death by two children, Deloris Lewis and Tommy (Billy) Scriven. She leaves behind a husband, Henry Scriven, and her children: Arleatha Swackard (David, deceased), Mertis McGhee (Keith ,deceased), Herman Scriven (Anita), Charles Scriven (Annette), Patricia McAuliffe (Mike), and Sylvia Davis (Earl, deceased).
