Nora Mae (Brown) Artis

Nora Mae Brown Artis,68, of Brooksville, Floridia, formerly of Matewan, WV, passed Thursday, August 10, 2023 at her home after a long battle with cancer.

Born March 3, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Helen Fullen and granddaughter of the late John and Mary Brown.  

She was also preceded in death her son George Benjamin Artis, Jr., and her brother Johnny W. Fullen.

She retired from Williamson Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

 Nora loved talking on the phone and catching up friends and her hospital colleagues.

Survivors: daughter, Bethany R Artis Justice, Brooksvillie, Florida; siblings, Mary Blackwell, North Carolina, Donzella L. Fullen, Charleston, WV, Steven C. Fullen and Patricia A Brown, both of Matewan, WV.

Grandchildren: Olivia M Artis, DeAndria S Artis, Victoria R Justice, Celeste R Justice, Byran ‘BJ’ Justice. Jr.

Greatgrand: Kamira Skye Dogan and Dominique Dashawn Dogan, Jr., Dreamy Alaiya Wallace.

Tiffany Bowes and Nichole Akers who were like daughters to her, and host of nephews and nieces and cousins.

Funeral: Private family viewing Saturday 1pm. Rev. Franklin Jones officiating.  Public graveside service at Mountain View Memory Gardens at Maher.
