Patricia Moore- Wyatt Obituary

Patricia Ann Baylor was born on August 28, 1955, in Brooksville, Florida, the fourth child of Eddie and Eva Baylor Sr.

Patricia was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she grew up actively involved in church activities and community service. She graduated from Hernando High School in 1974 and later that year moved to Pontiac, Michigan, where she became Patricia Ann Moore in 1979.

While in Michigan, Patricia became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on the Hospitality Committee. She earned an Accounting and Data Processing certification from the Pontiac Business Institute in 1983 and dedicated more than 30 years to the General Motors Corporation before retiring in 2006.

After retiring, Patricia obtained her Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and explored opportunities in the retail industry for several companies. Eventually, she discovered her true calling — caring for others — which led to a rewarding career in health care.

In 2015, Patricia fulfilled her dream of returning home to Florida. She and her daughter became the owners/operators of Green Leaf Senior Care, a business they ran together for more than 10 years. Patricia was later reunited with Johnny Wyatt, and the two were married on November 13, 2020.

Patricia had a passion for décor, fashion, and all things beautiful. She loved shopping, traveling, cooking, dancing, working in her flowerbeds, and spending time with friends and family. She also made health and wellness a priority, walking five miles a day and staying active.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Baylor Sr.; her aunt, Irene Scrivens; and her special cousin, Bettye Alderson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband, Johnny Wyatt; daughter, Ongelia Moore (Adrian); son, Cortez Moore; and granddaughter, Olivia Carrion-Mateo. She is also survived by her loving and dedicated mother, Eva Baylor; four sisters, Barbara Willis, Loretta Hubbert (Pastor Cecil), Debra Aubert (Henry), and Julia Baylor; four brothers, Eddie Baylor Jr., Rev. Jimmy Baylor Sr. (Leuvenia), Clarence Baylor (Maria), and Mikeral Baylor; one aunt, Laura Mae Hutchinson; stepchildren, Deo, Breon, LaTacha and Janika; Brother in laws: Jimmy Wyatt, of Rochester, NY, Larry (Nita) Wyatt, of Rochester, NY; Mitchell Turk, Tampa, FL and Tommy Maddox, Tampa, FL;
Sister in law. Theresa Seldom, Miami, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and friends who will forever remember her warmth, humor, and kindness.

Patricia’s legacy of love, strength, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
