“Her legacy”
Pearlie Mae Delaine was born and raised in Brooksville, Fl, to the late Ples Hammond Sr. and Mrs. Nettie Mae Hammond. She attended the schools in Hernando County where she graduated in 1973 from Hernando High. Pearlie was a very hard worker. She worked as a CNA for 22 years. She later became a youth care specialist for over 10 years. She then became a bus attendant for over 10 years in which she retired.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Ples Hammond Sr. and Nettie Mae Hammond; 1 sister, Debra Ann Bottom and 1 brother, Ples Hammond Jr.2 step-daughter: Candice Appleman, Shonda Delaine- Kelly, and 1 grandson Brandon Bristol
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: 2 sons, Steven Delaine Jr., (Sharena) and LaVar Delaine Sr. (Vanesta); 1 daughter, Selena Delaine; 1 step-daughter, Tameka Bufford Cox (Tyrone); 15 granddaughters, Meryah, LaShon, Jashariya, Lavariya, Ariel, Brionna, Aiyanah, A’Layiah, Jaquala, Alyica, Dorita, Alexis and Legihlani; 15 grandsons, Steven Delaine III, Terrance, Tre’on, LaVar Delaine Jr., Keiondre, Dajour, Mario, Markus Jr., Salvario, Matthew, Mario, Jarvis, Hakeem and Tyson; 2 nieces, Tia Bottom and Tiffany Hammond; 9 nephews, Henry, Charles Bottom Jr., Fredrick, Nick, Dre, PJ, Shamon and James; 1 special friend, Mary Elliott; and a host of other family and friends.
Flowers- may be received on Friday March 22, from 9am to 2pm at the J.T. Campbell Funeral Home.
Wake- Friday March 22, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm at the J.T.Campbell funeral home chapel
Fish Fry- Frederick Kelly Elks Lodge Immediately following the wake.
Funeral Cortege- Will Form at the family home on Saturday March 23, at 1:15 pm
Celebration of life- Saturday March 23, 2024 2pm at Encouraging Words Ministries 310 Ponce De leon Blvd
