Obituary
Lee Sanders was born on July 27, 1943, to Clifford and Evergreen Sanders in Union Springs, AL. He grew up and attended the local public schools. Upon completion of school, he began employment with CSX Railroad in which he worked for 39 years. He was affiliated with The New Jerusalem Church of God Brooksville, FL, later becoming pastor of New Jerusalem Church of God of Deland, FL where he pastored for 3 years.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Clifford and Evergreen Sanders; sister, Odessa Randolph; 2 brothers, Ernest W. Sanders and Curtis C. Sanders.
He leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife of 34 years, Mrs. Linda Sanders, 6 sons, Jeffery Sanders (Kelly), Wilmer Sanders (Irene), Greg Sanders (Ophelia), Kris Sanders all of Roman, GA, Eric Sanders (Tedra) of Wetumpka, AL, Greg G. Bank of Tuscaloosa, AL, stepson, Dontae Roberts (Jamie) of Land O'Lakes, FL; 2 brothers, Dea. Millard Sanders (Lois) of Brooksville, FL, Jimmy Lee Thomas; 4 sisters, Dollie Turpin (Benny) of Phoenix City, AL, Luedella Rogers (Eddie) of Union Spring, AL, Percy McNary (Louis) and Helen Kimbrough (Edwin) both of Columbus, GA; 4 sister-n-laws, Mamie Louise Sanders ,Elizabeth Morganfield ,Ida Miller, Evelyn Roberts, 3 brother-in- laws; Johnny Roberts, Ernest Roberts, Thomas Roberts, Henry Roberts all of Brooksville, FL; 14 grandchildren- 4 granddaughters and 10 grandsons, 5 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends

Visitation - From 5pm to 7pm on Friday September 8, 2023 at First Baptist Shady Rest.
Celebration of Life and Final Tribute - Saturday September 9, 2023 , 11am First Baptist Church Shady Rest.
