Shawn Tyrone
Holland, Sr., 60, was born on May 9, 1962 in Brooksville, FL to James and Matilda Holland. In 1970, the Holland Family relocated from
Brooksville, FL to New Brunswick, NJ. In
1971, Shawn became a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens,
Somerset, New Jersey where he accepted the Lord. He attended school in New Brunswick, NJ where
he graduated and later went on to obtain his certification from Auto Body
Technical School. Shawn enjoyed playing basketball in the community where he
dominated the courts and later known as “Helicopter”. He was amazing on the courts, soaring above
the rim. He worked as a Heavy Equipment
Supervisor in construction. Whatever
task asked of him, it was done without hesitation and to perfection. Shawn was loving, giving, caring and
hardworking H.O.L.L.A.N.D. “Hope Our Love Last and Never
Dies.”
Cherishing his
memory and celebrating his life are: (Son) Shawn Tyrone Holland, Jr. (Shawnee); (Parents) James and Matilda Holland; (Brothers)
Karl Holland; James Holland, Jr.; (Sisters) Rosalind (Sampson) Calhoun; Janice
(John) Roy; and Barbie Holland Ellerbee.
Along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who
deeply love him and share precious memories that will forever be cherished.
Flowers- May be received at the J.T. Campbell funeral home on Friday March 17, 2023 from 9 am to 3pm.
Visitation/ Wake - Will be held at the J.T. Campbell Fumeral Home Macedonia Chapel on Friday March 17, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm.
Funeral Cortege - The Funeral Cortege will form at the family home at 1pm on Saturday March 18, 2023
Celebration of Life - Will be held Saturday March 18, 2023, 2pm at The Faith Evangelical Presbyterian Church 200 Mt Fair Avenue Brooksville Fl. 34601
