Shirley Ann O'Connor

Shirley Ann O’Connor, a longtime resident of Brooksville, Florida, passed away September 28, 2023. Shirley was born March 7, 1946 in Opp, Alabama.  She is survived by her children, Michael Sowell, Samantha O’Connor-Carr, and Sherri Jeorjia O’Connor.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Sam O’Connor and daughter, Stacie O’Connor . A devout Jehovah’s Witnesses, Shirley dedicated her life to sharing her spiritual joy with others. A brave and adventurous woman, Shirley enjoyed many equine-related activities, traveling to many of nature’s beautiful sites, and sailing to the Bahamas. Shirley touched the lives of many while working with disabled children in the Hernando County school system. Shirley will be mourned deeply and remembered fondly.
