William Dimmitt

Obituary for William (Bill) Dimmitt

     William was born on July 16, 1960 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.  He traveled to many states and countries as an Army brat and graduated from Harris County High School in Hamilton, Georgia in 1978.  As a senior in high school, he and a friend decided to take dance lessons so they could impress their dates at the prom.  This is where he discovered his love of dancing. He went on to teach in Columbus, Ga. then moved to Atlanta to continue his new career.   After ten years of teaching there he decided to move south to Brooksville/Springhill.  He became very active in Stage West community theatre in his free time from dancing.  This became his passion as well.

He passed away July 22, 2023.  He is survived by his mother Mary Dimmitt of Brooksville, Fl. and his sister Cindy Dimmitt of Atlanta, Ga.
